India’s javelin sensation Neeraj Chopra, who brought glory to the nation with his gold at the Tokyo Olympics and silver at the Paris Games, has entered a new phase of his life. The 27-year-old announced his marriage to Himani Mor, a resident of Sonepat, Haryana, through his social media on Sunday, leaving fans pleasantly surprised.
Sharing pictures from the wedding ceremony, Chopra wrote, “I began a new chapter of my life with my family. Grateful for every blessing that brought us to this moment together. Bound by love, happily ever after.”
The low-profile wedding took place two days ago in India, confirmed Chopra’s uncle Bhim. “Yes, the marriage happened in India, but I can’t disclose the location. The bride is from Sonepat and is currently pursuing her studies in the United States,” he said.
According to Bhim, the couple has left the country for their honeymoon. “We wanted to keep it private, and I’m not aware of their exact destination,” he added, speaking from Khandra village near Panipat, where the family resides.
Neeraj Chopra, who recently trained in South Africa under the guidance of legendary javelin coach Jan Zelezny, managed to keep his personal life under wraps until now. This surprise announcement has added another feather to the cap of India’s most celebrated track-and-field athlete.
